Trump States That Discussion with North Korea Was Productive; Summit Would Be Held In Hanoi

US President Donald Trump stated that the discussions that were held between the US diplomats with North Korean officials were very productive one. On Friday, he further stated that the summit with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un would be held at the end of this month. He even stated that the venue of the summit would be Vietnam’s capital Hanoi.

Trump in his Twitter stated that his representatives have just left from North Korea and they had a very constructive meeting. At the meeting, a time and date for the second summit has been decided.  The meeting would take place in Hanoi on 27th and 28th February.

Trump even stated that he is looking forward to meet the North Korean leader and Chairman Kim Jong Un and progress towards something that would help to attain peace.

Trump had earlier announced the probable date of the summit with Kim and declared that it would be held in Vietnam; however, the city of the summit wasn’t disclosed. The U.S. special representative for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, conducted three days of discussions in Pyongyang to arrange for the summit, according to the State Department. It stated Biegun had admitted with his counterpart Kim Hyok Chol to meet again before of the summit.

In their discussions in Pyongyang, from Wednesday to Friday, Biegun and Kim Hyok Chol talked about progressing President Trump and Chairman Kim’s Singapore summit pledge on complete denuclearization, transforming U.S.-DPRK relations, and building a lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
