More Protests Are Coming Up
On Wednesday 5th December, the French government stated that it won’t be including the fuel tax hike in their next year’s budget. They are reconsidering their decision to delay it for six months. The yellow vests, or who are more popularly referred to as ‘gilets jaunes’ are highly discontented with this issue. They have planned for even more protests over the weekend.
Brexit Deal Enters Third Day of Debate
The UK’s parliament is continuing their discussion on British Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal for the third consecutive day. According to sources, on the third day, the main topic of discussion would be the structure of Britain’s future relation with the European Union. Few days back, PM May reached a deal with the EU and now she needs to get the deal approved by the parliament in order to make the deal effective.
In the meantime, in Europe, Michel Barnier, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, will be deliberating on Brexit and its effect on regions and cities with the local leaders from all EU’s member states being a part of it.

The COP24 Summit calls for a fight against climate change and urges young leaders and legislators to talk on the role of the youth in protecting the climate. The summit which has entered the fifth day focuses on enacting a rulebook by the end of this year on how to impose global action to restrict further warming of the planet.
