Britith trade minister Liam Fox told BBC radio that he will apologize to Ivanka Trump for the ambassador’s comments over the US administration described as ‘inept’ and ‘dysfunctional’ and that the leaks could damage the relationship between the two countries that can affec the mutual security interests.

Ambassador Darroch leaked memoes reads: “We don’t really believe this administration is going to become substantially more normal; less dysfunctional; less unpredictable; less faction riven; less diplomatically clumsy and inept.”

Even PM Theresa May expressed her concerns about the statement calling it ‘a matter of regret’ and ‘unacceptable’.

Trump said that Darroch is ‘not well thought in the US and he has not served well his country’.

The situation comes in a time where UK hopes to find a deal with the US after the scheduled exit from the EU.

Ivanka Trump is an unpaid adviser for the Trump administration.
