President Donald Trump will attend the G7 summit in France and plans to highlight U.S. economic policies with other G7 leaders to encourage them to follow the American model to stave off problems with the global economy, officials said.

The G7 summit will start from Saturday and end on Monday.

Trump is also planning to hold individual meetings with the leaders of Britain, France, India, Germany, Japan, and Canada during his trip.

Trump will talk to his allies about how to open up European, Japanese and Canadian markets to increase U.S. businesses trade and also to ensure that allies’ economies rise along with the United States.

Trump’s trade policies have already build tension with many members of the G7 in some form.
