Donald Trump warns China, if its knowingly responsible for the Covid-19 outbreak, they will face the consequences

On Saturday, President Donald Trump stated in the White House briefing that China had committed many mistakes in the past, but if they are found knowingly responsible for the coronavirus outbreak, then they will face the consequences.

Trump didn’t explain what the consequences would be; however, he added, when the United States banned the Chinese travel amid Covid-19, China objected to the move.

There has been a continuing saga of trade tensions between China and the United States. Including both nations imposing trade tariffs on each other. In Jan 2020, after nearly a two-year trade war, “Phase One” of the trade deal was signed between the two countries, relaxing some of the trade tensions.

By the end of January, the tensions between US-China soar again due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Trump had to restrict Chinese travel that could risk the lives of the American people. In the press briefing, he added that Covid-19 could have been halted in China before it converted into a global pandemic.

The United States has reported a total of 761,964 confirmed coronavirus cases, 35,314 deaths, and 70,337 recovered, according to the John Hopkins University data. President Trump is trying hard to defeat the coronavirus pandemic and also to save the economy. He as recently announced guidelines for reopening the economy.
