Tsipras has been defeated by Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the Greek general elections in a landslide win with 39.77% of the votes and the new PM said he will change Greece and will take more investments and less taxes.
Under Tsipras, Greece has seeen a long unemployment crisis and three financial bailouts from the EU.
Mitsoakis said on TV that he will be everyone’s prime minister and he will change Greece with less taxes and more investments to create new jobs withhigh salaries.
Tsipras said that he respects the will of the people: “I want to assure the Greek people that we will protect the rights of working people with a responsible but dynamic opposition,” he said.
Tsipras said that he wanted to resist EU austerity but was forced to agree to a financial bailout and that lowered his popularity.
