Johnson says UK needs a new deal with the EU

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that he wants a grand new deal with the EU and that there’s a good chance that he can get it.

During his official visit in Scotland he stated: “What we want to do is to make it absolutely clear that the backstop is no good, it’s dead, it’s got to go. The Withdrawal Agreement is dead, it’s got to go. But there is scope to do a new deal,”.

He went on saying that Britain needs a new partnership in the things ‘that matter’  like security, defense, culture, scientific collaboration and intelligence. while claiming that  the UK needs to do things differently when they want to.

He also dismissed a new referendum for the Scottish independence, deemed as a once-in-a-lifetime event and that the outcome can’t be ignored to break that promise to the people of Scotland and the UK.
