Abdullah bin Zayed UAE foreing minister has met Narendra Modi, indian PM in a official visit that lasted three days, to discuss terrorism, security, energy and the tensions in the Middle East.
Modi said that India has a strong commitment to take the relationship with the UAE to an higher level of cooperation in all fields and that relationship has never been better.
UAE’s Abdullah met Subrahmanyan Jaishankar, his Indian counterpart, to discuss issuel related to investments and security, and this comes in a time when energy’s security is a top priority for India after the US sanctions on the Iranian oil as UAE is the third biggest trade partner in India and 4th largest energy supplier.
India has been invited in March by the UAE to the 46th Council of Foreign Ministers meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation which has been held in Abu Dhabi.
Zakir Hussain, West Asia expert said that Modi’s recent victory puts a great pressure on him to create jobs in India and this meeting will surely expedite UAE’s investments in the country’.
