US Secretary of State Meets UAE Foreign Minister to Strengthen Bond

When Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, UAE had visited Washington for the first time in 2017, he had met his counterpart of the United States Mike Pompeo. The duo had signed on an aviation agreement and had also discussed regional and global matter elaborately.

The Foreign Minister of the UAE had recently visited the US to meet Mike Pompeo. The meeting had taken place at the State Department. The meeting took place before the start of the official visit where the UAE leader, Sheikh Abdulla would be meeting eminent members of the Trump administration and the members of Congress. Pompeo had appreciated Sheikh Abdulla and had appreciated the efforts put in by UAE for working hard on the airlines industry.

Mike Pompeo had stated that they were extremely impressed with the efforts put in by UAE and he hoped that it would be a very good outcome for the ones who are concerned. The UAE leader had also thanked Pompeo and appreciated him for being a great partner. Sheikh Abdulla also stated the advancements which were achieved in the discussions which took place in North Korea prior to the historic meeting of Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump.

The duo had also discussed America’s decision to pull out of the nuclear deal with Iran. He had stated that the two countries had worked really well and had made remarkable achievements especially in the aviation deal. The aviation deal was the center of the US – UAE open skies agreement. The airlines of UAE and US would enjoy the commercial flexibility so that the services can be adjusted as per the needs and requirements of the customer.
